The Role
As the Head of Product, you will be the strategic architect and tactical engine behind us. We are in the early stages of development, and we need a leader who can balance high-level product vision with the hands-on requirements of an Agile Product Owner.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner closely with the Head of Engineering to establish a robust, product-led development culture. You will be responsible for defining how we help caregivers through AI, how the product sustains itself through monetization, and how we execute our roadmap with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Long-Term Roadmap: Define the product's future direction, ensuring every feature aligns with our mission
- Monetization: Research, test, and implement sustainable monetization strategies for a SaaS/Mobile environment.
- Goal Setting: Translate long-term objectives into actionable quarterly OKRs and incremental milestones.
- Market Insight: Act as the voice of the user, utilizing market research and caregiver feedback to prioritize the highest-value requirements.
Agile Product Ownership & Execution
- Backlog Management: Own the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized, refined, and aligned with our strategic goals.
- Requirement Documentation: Author high-quality Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria for the development team.
- Sprint Leadership: Co-lead the Sprint process (Planning, Refinement, and Demos) with the Head of Engineering to ensure a healthy delivery cadence.
- Design Collaboration: Utilize Figma to produce or oversee designs and wireframes, ensuring a seamless and empathetic user experience.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Engineering Alignment: Work as a peer to the Head of Engineering to balance technical feasibility with product impact and manage resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate the Steering Committee and keep the Founder and CEO informed on major trade-offs and progress.
- Analytics & Research: Lead post-release user research and track product metrics (adoption, retention, engagement) to iterate on the user experience.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: A track record of building and scaling SaaS products and mobile applications. Early-stage startup experience is highly preferred.
- Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies; you should be comfortable acting as a "Full-Stack" PM who writes their own stories and manages the sprint process.
- Design Literacy: Proficiency with Figma is highly desirable; you should be able to visualize concepts and work closely with design assets.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to determine pricing models and monetization paths in a sensitive, healthcare-adjacent market.
- Caregiving/Healthcare Background: Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in caregiving or elder tech, is a significant advantage.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to document requirements clearly and present the "why" behind product decisions to both technical teams and stakeholders.
