    Join NORC at the University of Chicago as a senior manager in our Business Ventures and Innovation (BVI) unit, reporting to NORC's Chief Strategy Officer, with dotted lines to NORC's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer.

    Demonstrate proven abilities in the design and execution of business enablement strategies, organizational transformation, and change management to support the implementation of NORC's strategic plan and long-term organizational goals.

    Take ownership of the challenges of supporting a leadership team in a rapidly evolving and fast-paced research landscape.

    Work closely with executive and senior leaders to identify opportunities, prioritize the most important ones, and develop a strategy for achieving these objectives.

    Leverage your experience in handling a broad range of activities while demonstrating the ability to analyze different aspects of business operations to enable productivity and efficiency, using technology to achieve long-term business goals.

    Support senior leaders in creating innovative solutions and deploying effective change management approaches necessary to implement them.

    BUSINESS VENTURES AND INNOVATION

    The Business Ventures and Innovation unit (BVI) brings together NORC Labs, Business Development, Health Care Strategy, and AmeriSpeak to enable business operations, research & development, and drive revenue growth.

    BVI propels innovation and best practices across the company and positions NORC to grow and evolve strategically in the future.

    We align with NORC's research and administrative departments to ensure that our work strengthens client relationships and advances NORC's position as an industry leader.

    Analyze current business infrastructure, collaborate across NORC, and provide solutions to improve the productivity and efficiency of the business.

    ~ Provide effective project management from inception to completion, including project structuring, planning, and execution; creating and managing budgets, timelines, and interdependencies across multiple initiatives; designing and implementing risk mitigation plans; managing vendors/subcontractors; and assuring quality deliverables.

    ~ Demonstrate financial and business acumen through the ability to understand the financial effects of actions and decisions, including budget creation/monitoring, cost modeling, ROI analyses, and managing vendor relationships.

    ~ Develop and track measurable goals for all business activities, including creating dashboards and other tools for executive-level review.

    ~ Create and implement an integrated program of change management strategies and plans that drive employee adoption and engagement.

    ~ Exhibit exceptional communication skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, communicating across all levels of the organization, communicating complex technical information clearly and concisely, and creating and delivering effective business plans and presentations.

    ~ Master's degree in business, policy, or social science-related field is required.

    ~ Minimum of 8 years of applicable work experience in positions of increasing responsibility in operations, project management, organizational transformation, and change management.

    ~ Agile self-starter with the ability to work on multiple, simultaneous initiatives with a delivery focus.

    Strong business acumen, including strategy, analytics, negotiations, and problem-solving.
    Track record effectively managing vendors/subcontractors for large-scale improvement initiatives.
    Excellent risk management approach and effective decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
