    Position Summary

    The hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst position will be a position within Bank Technology that will serve as a swing resource between project management and business analyst activities based on Bank priorities and current resource demands and bring agility to context switch between the two roles as needed.

    As a project manager, the incumbent will successfully plan and manage projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. This skilled professional will be responsible for all aspects of project implementation, tracking, analysis, resources, costs, reporting, and deliverables.

    The incumbent must demonstrate initiative and autonomy and bring significant experience including strong knowledge of the development life cycle (SDLC) and Microsoft Project.

    The candidate should be hands-on and capable of executing rapidly as an individual and as a manager.
    He/she will execute project management methodologies and discipline, technical and administrative leadership to a variety of projects.

    The Project Manager remains continuously aware of business and infrastructure issues and provides direction to aid in the development of creative solutions to satisfy business needs.

    As a business analyst, the incumbent is responsible analyzing and understanding business processes, workflows, roles, data needs, challenges and opportunities to be able to concisely document and illustrate business requirements and functional designs as they pertain to process improvement and system enablement.

    This role will also assist in driving cross functional teams for mapping processes, defining requirements, publishing functional designs, developing traceability test matrices for large projects that result in new capabilities and streamlined processes.

    This role will have a hybrid work schedule in our Boston office in accordance with the Bank's Hybrid Work Program .

    More time will be encouraged in the office to support onboarding initially.
    Specific Responsibilities
    ·

    Plan and manage the projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. Responsible for all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution, control, tracking, and implementation.
    ·

    Develops project plans.
    Leads project planning meetings and activities and maintains plans during life of the project.
    ·

    Adheres to and recommends deviations to the standard SDLC for specific projects (when needed).
    ·


    Works with project SMEs to ensure that high-quality project artifacts and deliverables are produced starting with Requirements Definition and including, but not limited to: Functional Designs, Technical Designs, Process Maps, Test Plans and Cases, etc.

    Works closely with users, technical staff and vendors to ensure that project objectives, budget, and schedules are met.
    ·


    Communicates, throughout the life of the project, with staff, management and Bank Technology to ensure that project requirements and goals are understood and adequate resources are available to complete the project.

    Identifies and resolves conflicting project priorities and other issues and escalate as needed.
    ·

    Identify and resolve project related conflicts and priorities and escalate the issues as they arise. Identifying and mitigating project risks.
    ·

    Actively participate in agile ceremonies, providing accurate and timely feedback regarding both the process and product.
    Business Analyst Role
    ·

    Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements.
    ·


    Produce required project documentation such as business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plans, etc.

    ·

    Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis.
    ·

    Map as-is and to-be processes to identify breakdowns and opportunities for improvement.
    ·

    Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
    ·


    On agile projects, work closely with the business product owners to create, prioritize and maintain a product backlog according to business value and/or ROI.

    Qualifications

    Education
    DegreeinComputerScienceortechnologyrelatedfield

    or

    equivalent work experience.
    Experience
    ·

    5-10 years as a project manager and/or business analyst with proven experience in both areas.
    ·

    PMP, BA and/or Scrum Master Certification a strong plus.
    ·

    Experience with MS Project, MS Office, Visio, SQL, Azure DevOps and process mapping tools required.
    ·

    Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, PowerBI) is preferred for prototyping purposes.
    ·

    Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, IT functions and roles.
    ·

    Solid understanding and experience with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) project methodologies.
    ·

    Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required.
    Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all project participants and stakeholders is crucial to success.
    ·

    Strong collaborative and negotiation skills.
    ·

    Understanding of Financial Services systems and processes is preferred.
