    Design Engineer - Level 3 We are Lockheed Martin Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Design Engineer in Marietta, Georgia
    A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in general drafting practices to interpret engineering technical drawings, computer models, and engineering bill of materials

    Responsibilities for this position will include:

    • Perform verification of completeness of engineering technical data related to AMMM (C130, C5, P3) build-to-packages (BTPs)
    • Evaluate the accuracy and releasability of AMMM engineering data, as it relates to LM PM4052 and AMMM Program Design Standards
    • Support engineering schedule release commitments, while assuring that AMMM BTPs are accurate, complete, are of one interpretation and adequate for downstream users Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance
    This position is located at a facility that requires special access

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical or Aeronautical, equivalent experience considered
    • Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 Drawings and Y14.5 GD&T
    • Prior drawing and model checking, design, and engineering change process experience
    • Experience completing BTP checks and markup drawings digitally in a PDF software
    • Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings (wiring diagrams and harness assembly drawings, indices)

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with LM Aero tools and databases; these include, but are not limited to, Capital Logic, CATIA, ECRS, ADMS, CAD DataNet


    • Familiar with PM405

    • Experience with retrofit/service action and multiple type/version effectivities
    • Experience in Engineering Checking
    • Very detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic understanding of Wiring/Harness Design
    • Aircraft experience a plus

    Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
