- Under the general supervision of the Ultrasound Manager, the Ultrasound Technologist provides skill and initiative to the department mission through interactions with staff, Supervisor and others as necessary.
- Primary duties are to work as a Technologist generating diagnostic images for physicians, while also implementing policy and procedures as determined necessary through Manager and Supervisor.
- Associate's degree (or equivalent from two-year college) or certificate program in diagnostic medical sonography.
- Experience in related clinical areas is preferred.
- Work requires knowledge of principles and procedures of Ultrasound and the operation and maintenance of Ultrasound equipment.
- Work requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, coworkers, students and physicians.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (OB or AB or RVT)
- Accreditation must be attained prior to hire except for OB/GYN (one year to obtain accreditation)
