    Overview:
    The

    Network Administrator II


    is responsible for applying fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines in the area LAN ,WAN, SDWAN, VPN, WLAN and PAN networking.

    This positions primarys duty is to help ensure the overall health, stability and productivity of the organizations networking systems.

    To this end, this position responsibilities include reviewing, tracking, supporting and resolving system issues at the datacenters, edge devices, local offices, partner WAN connections, recommending and deploying hardware and/or software solutions to enhance or add IT systems functionality.

    Collaborate with users to understand their needs and analyze requirements to define hardware and software functional specifications
    Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accurately assessing situations and applying creative problem-solving techniques
    Safeguard the

    security

    and privacy of information systems and equipment.
    Implement and support monitoring solutions, providing insights into the availability, performance, and trends of network systems.

    Configuration, installation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure; including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access pointsDiagnosing and resolving problems across a variety of hardware platforms and vendors including Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Meraki, and more.

    Revitalize system capabilities through firmware upgrades for optimal performance.
    Experience configuring and supporting Palo Alto firewalls equipment.
    Knowledgeable about Firewall and security best practices
    Ensure technology solutions comply with ACA compliance and risk management policies
    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
    4+ or more years of hands-on experience in networking technology
    CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus.
    Proficiency in the following networking areas is a plus:

    Layers 2 switching technologies, including VLAN tagging, STP, VTP, COS, QOS
    TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP

    Cisco Platforms:
    Cisco IOS, Cisco SD-WAN, Nexus , ASR, and Meraki.
    In-depth knowledge of Layer 3 TCP/ IP

    protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, IPV4, IPV6

    Palo Alto and Panarama firewall experience is a must.
    Advanced knowledge of Cisco series switches, routers, and advance routing protocols required
    Strong understanding of corporate LAN and WAN data networks
    Excellent organizational and project management skills
    Ability to create and write clear, complete documentation of systems and procedures
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    Self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team
    Make suggestions to improve the supportability, scalability and supportability of our systems.
    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands
    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday.

    The daily schedule may vary from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm.

    Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business. After hours and on-call support may be required.

    Travel
    Up to 10% travel may be necessary for this position.
