    Quality Systems & Process Control Manager

    Position Description

    Job Summary

    What's the job?

    The Quality & Process Control Manager will be accountable to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented per requirements and to report areas of concern to Management.

    The incumbent will be expected to ensure the plant remains in full compliance with all regulatory and ISO requirements as they pertain to the plant and/or plants, customer specifications, and corporate quality policies.

    This position will also be responsible for reducing waste via process implementation and improvements, training programs, documentation, and manufacturing planning following the WCM methodology.


    Essential Functions:

    50% of the time:
    Implementation and oversight of a Quality Management System that operates in compliance with corporate quality policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements and industry guidance, including:
    Implementation of document control and review/approval of controlled documents
    Implementation of change management and review of all change controls
    Implementation of supplier quality management and performance of supplier audits as appropriate
    Robust root cause analysis and CAPA
    Management of internal/external (regulatory, customer, supply chain) audit requirements
    Ensure adequate Training Program is in place
    Implementation/oversight of material and product testing and review/approval of QC testing
    Implementation of Quality Risk Management in relevant aspects of the QMS
    Manage site QA laboratory and its functions

    30% of the time:
    Manage a team responsible for ensuring high-quality integrity of all products/processes.
    Ensure robust root cause analysis investigation and CAPA for deviations and nonconforming products.
    Develop both strategic and tactical plans for quality culture development.
    Manage process implementations and improvements using WCM methodologies.

    10% of the time:

    Customer Management, including:
    Facilitate/host customer audits as the management representative.
    Ensure robust and effective corrective action to customer audit observations.
    Manage claims for CBI group and process per policies/procedures.
    Partner in the resolution of Quality Issues and requests for information by initiating effective interdepartmental communication.

    10% of the time:
    Manage the Quality Department
    Provide Leadership to Department Employees
    Develop Priorities, Assign Responsibility, Monitor Performance and Provide Training
    Required Qualifications

    What do you bring?
    A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or equivalent required
    Minimum five years of experience with product or process engineering or related activities with a track record of product improvement and commercialization
    Minimum three years of supervisory experience is required
    A strong knowledge of quality standards ISO9001 is required
    Knowledge of statistical methods and tools, physical analysis methods, production methods, process standards, and quality standards is required
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in a systematic approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
    Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis software is highly desired
    Ability to build and develop teams to achieve specified goals and to be self-sufficient
    Must be able to influence without authority to accomplish change on the plant floor
    Must have the capacity to develop efficient and effective exchanges with others. Ability to provide oral and written information in a clear, open transparent, and timely manner.

    It also requires the capacity to listen to others to allow the most efficient and constructive communication and exchange of ideas.

    Demonstrates the capacity to understand others' points of view (needs, values, centers of interest, connections, aspirations, etc.) which, in turn, enables effective negotiation, influence, and/or persuasion.
