- Initiate Pre-Planning Analysis and detailed Engineering or Manufacturing pre-plans to support the procurement, manufacture, and installation of F-35 aircraft components.

- Cross functional experience collaborating with Engineering and Production Operations to quantify, validate, and/or coordinate requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
- Experience writing pre-plans for Tool Planners to produce tooling, Bills of Material, and work instructions.
- Detailed working knowledge of Planning processes/procedures and preparation/utilization of all Planning documents.
- Experience with Computer Aided Planning Process System (CAPPS), Shop Floor Manager (SFM), Quality reporting (QADS, QARs), Product Data Manager (PDM), Virtual Assembly System (VAS), and SAP.
- Background and working knowledge of Tool Design and tooling issues.
- Knowledge of fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes/procedures to prepare work authorizing/instruction documents.
- Knowledge of F-35 Limited Usage (LU) as applies to CAPP.
- Working knowledge of Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP), MDX, or Solumina.
- Ability to interact effectively with all disciplines of Engineering, Production Operations, and Planning Teams.

Manufacturing Engineer provides technical assistance to hourly Tool Planners involved in analyzing Engineering requirements and development/initiation of documentation required for fabrication, purchase, and installation of aircraft components and tooling to support the same.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
