Job Overview

Dogtown is a celebrated, casual hot dog joint in Rochester, New York, recognized for its high-quality ingredients and creative menu. Known for its dog-themed branding and unpretentious "hole-in-the-wall" atmosphere, it is a staple for locals, college students, and tourists alike.

You will be working with the kitchen manager/chef directly to assist him through his work load in a dedicated prep facility that supports our restaurant and catering.

Duties

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently to meet operational needs.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep or basic cooking under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, storage areas, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
• Support catering and banquet events .
• Follow food handling safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• shoveling, mowing grass, pulling weeds, picking up trash

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures, food handling standards, and basic kitchen operations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues.
• Basic understanding of food preparation or catering experience is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 35.0 per week
