    A highly respected (AV-rated) trial law firm in suburban Washington seeks a Maryland associate attorney with 1 - 3 years of criminal defense experience. A successful candidate will have trial experience, and strong interpersonal, advocacy, and writing skills. Our firm has a team of trial-proven attorneys with experience in successfully defending a wide variety of DUI and criminal cases. The successful candidate will be mentored by colleagues who always achieve the best possible outcome for our clients.     Compensation:

    $90,000 + commission

    Responsibilities:
    • Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
    • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
    • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
    • Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
    • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
    Qualifications:
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
    • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred
    • Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
    • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus
    • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
    • Over 3 years of experience representing clients in a law firm.
    • Bilingual is a plus
