- Collect Data and Conduct Research: Utilize a variety of research methodologies and sources like online databases, application recommendation engines, publications, trade show exhibitor listings, industry reports, referrals from RF-SMART team members and partners to gather information on relevant acquisition targets.
- Data Entry and Management: Organize, enter, and maintain research data using our CRM system to track M&A activity and progress.
- Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing research data with guidance from the Corporate Strategy Team.
- Report Generation: Prepare reports and presentations that summarize findings, insights and recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across Product Management, Sales, Services and Engineering to support research activities.
- Administration: Schedule meetings, maintain project documentation, and manage communication across collaborators.
- Research Ethics Compliance: Ensure compliance with research ethics and legal requirements throughout the research process.
- Related duties as required.
- Demonstrated excellence in research skills is required, including qualitative/quantitative data collection techniques
- Experience in Corporate Development/Strategy is a plus
- Bachelors or masters degree preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection, data maintenance and report generation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify key insights and recommend actionable strategies.
- Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience and/or familiarity with ERP ecosystems and associated independent software vendor (ISV) partners is helpful
- Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively as part of a research team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM-type systems.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
- Some travel may be required (up to 15%)

Overview:
The Corporate Strategy Research Analyst will research and help analyze potential M&A (acquisition) targets in support of RF-SMART's corporate growth strategy. The Research Analyst will perform data collection, data management, preliminary analysis, literature/website reviews and related tasks to identify M&A targets and build a continuous pipeline of potential targets to facilitate the advancement of RF-SMART's corporate growth objectives.
