Description

MRG Exams, a leading provider of independent medical examinations, is in search of a part-time Optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye exams for United States Veterans involved in the VA's SHA process. The Optometrist's main tasks will include reviewing health records via a secure Web Portal, conducting thorough eye exams for each veteran, and filling out necessary forms online.

• The Optometrist will NOT be responsible for making determinations, as the VA handles all decisions.
• This role does NOT involve treating patients, it focuses solely on providing assessments.
• On average, the Optometrist will assess 3-6 Veterans per day.
• This position will be classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
• The Optometrist will be required to work 1 day per week.

Requirements:

• Interested in conducting comprehensive eye exam assessments rather than traditional patient care.
• Able to analyze data from medical records and examination results to complete forms and provide medical opinions.
• Forms must be submitted within 24 hours after each exam.
• Passionate about serving Veterans in the local community.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Conditions:

• Must possess a current Optometrist license in Illinois.
• Proficient in performing Visual Field Testing (VFT).
