**Description**

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION:** Warehouse Associates are part of the team responsible for the receiving, stocking, and shipping of tires and wheels for all our store locations. They will also support short quick (Hot-Shot) routes to stores daily. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager and is expected to maintain the highest levels of productivity within the warehouse/driver workgroup.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

This is a dual function role working both in the warehouse and driving as part of the delivery process so essential functions for both roles are required.

While in the warehouse the essential functions include:

+ Responsible for unloading of incoming deliveries.

+ Clearing the unloading area of incoming deliveries by storing into inventory loaded bins of tires.

+ General cleanup of unloading area and surrounding warehouse as directed.

+ Assist the regular route drivers with loaded as needed.

+ Assist in clearing the dock to facilitate pulling the next days stock order.

+ Check overflow/returns area to see if anything needs restocked.

+ Picking tire stock orders as required.

+ Maintain correct inventory in WMS computer system.

+ Ensure tires / items are accurately loaded into each truck.

+ Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

While performing the driving/delivery tasks the essential functions include:

+ Deliver and pick up product from specified store locations.

+ Ensure all products and materials are accounted for prior to loading and delivery.

+ Follow an organized and efficient loading and unloading system.

+ Unload merchandise according to Tire Discounters Driver Policy 630A.

+ Using extreme caution while operating delivery vehicle always with an awareness of pedestrians, buildings, personal property and vehicles in close proximity to delivery truck.

+ Properly complete pre-trip & post-trip vehicle inspections.

+ Maintain daily drivers log.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

No previous warehouse experience is required but is a plus.

Maintain Excellent Attendance

Desire and ability to work as a team.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

A positive can-do attitude.

Ability to keep accurate records.

Must be able to operate an RF Scanner with training.

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:**

High school diploma or a GED equivalent certificate from a certified institution.

Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

Must be able to lift up to 75lbs repetitively throughout the shift.

Repeated bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing.

Must be able to stand and walk for 90% of the workday.

Must be able to be trained and operate the material handling equipment in a safe/efficient manner.

Work in the extreme head/cold inside trailers/containers.

Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises.

Our drivers make safe deliveries in the elements (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
