    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Associate Product Manager will have direct responsibility for a portion of our brush, pad painter, and kit product categories within Sherwin-Williams Consumer Brands Group - brands included in this product portfolio represent Purdy, Sherwin-Williams, Valspar, Bestt Liebco, and Private Label.

    This position will focus on leading new product development projects to grow profitable market share and will manage the product life cycle of the assigned existing product portfolio.

    This will be achieved by leading and influencing cross-functional teams that include R&D, Global Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.

    Outside of these key areas of focus, the candidate will manage end-user activities, participate in developing annual marketing plans, and budgets while also collaborating with the Brand, Channel, and Sales teams to create launch support materials and drive business activities.

    Utilize the Stage-Gate process to develop and execute new product launches in collaboration with the key crossfunctional teams.
    Serves as the expert of their product category and the key internal "go-to" authority on the assigned product lines.
    Provide product training to customers and consumers.
    Contribute to short-term and long-term strategic planning.
    Prepare financial information for assigned products.
    Closely monitor competitive product assortments, strategy, pricing, and trends in the industry as well as related industries.
    Participate in managing the internal commercialization process of new and existing products.


    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION
    Required
    Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    Required:
    2-4 years of Marketing and/or business experience with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results.
    Solid understanding of the General Marketing Mix, including Product, Place, Pricing, Promotion, and Placement.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively make presentations in front of large groups.
    Operates under moderate supervision with the ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
    Advanced knowledge and application of all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
