    High caliber and progressive global investment management firm, experiencing impressive growth, is looking for a sharp

    VP/Principal, Corporate Fixed Income

    at their Los Angeles (westside) offices.

    This investment professional will join the Corporate Fixed Income (CFI) team focused primarily on banks and potentially other financial sectors.

    The candidate will work as part of the CFI team on all stages of the investment process and will focus on new and existing investments across several areas of the financial sector with focus primarily on investment grade US banks.

    The candidate will contribute to various activities including credit underwriting, financial modeling, investment memo preparation, and portfolio monitoring to support portfolio managers across the Credit platform.

    $225K-$300K + 30%-35% Bonus

    Hybrid 4 days/week

    Must be able to work in the LA office 4 days/week, local candidates preferred

    Accountabilities:
    Lead Financial Vertical Team. Establish and maintain relationships with issuers and syndicate teams. Direct the work of junior team members and train/mentor less experienced analysts.

    Serve as the point person on the Financial Team to lead collaboration efforts with portfolio managers and analysts across the platform on exploratory research and analysis on potential investment opportunities.

    Provide analytical and project support for liability-matched and total return strategies including new issues, secondary opportunities, and portfolio monitoring.
    Daily responsibilities include financial modeling, industry & business due diligence, relative value analysis, and quarterly reporting.

    Work with the team to develop investment committee memoranda, materials for senior team members, and ad hoc projects including but not limited to portfolio monitoring, reporting and investor requests.


    Qualifications and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
    5-8 years of credit buy-side, investment banking or capital markets experience.
    Specific experience in the Financial sector with a strong focus on banks.
    Experience across the capital structure and ability to generate a wide variety of total return investment ideas.
    Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with efficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present investment memos to senior members of the Investment Committee.
    Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
