Union College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Anthropology tenure track beginning September 1 2026 Review of applications will begin on Nov.3 2025 and continue until the position is filled Applications received by Nov.3 2025 will receive priority consideration We seek socio-cultural candidates whose research addresses and who can teach courses on environmental anthropology economic anthropology science and technology studies public health and/or indigeneity In terms of geographic expertise preference will be given to candidates who work in Sub-Saharan Africa the Caribbean the Middle East South East or Southeast Asia or amongst indigenous people of Oceania or the Americas but we will also consider other areas not currently represented by faculty in the department The successful candidate will teach six courses over three ten-week trimesters.
