    Job Description

    Required Education & Experience:


    • Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Equivalent and 1 years of Industrial Packaging experience required.

    Required Skills:


    • (Creo or other similar electronic drafting experience is required Creo Required)


    • Pack assist


    • Knowledge of packaging materials


    • Knowledge pf packaging suppliers

    Preferred Certifications & Experience:


    • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired


    • Experience with 6 Sigma Project teams preferred.

    Preferred Soft Skills


    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


    • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills


    • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures


    • Thorough knowledge of Standard Practice, corporate shipping guidelines, quality and cleanliness specifications and inventory warehousing standards.

    Packaging Engineer Responsibilities:


    • Resolving all packaging related safety issues


    • Resolving all Packaging related quality issues


    • Creating cost savings/Avoidance projects


    • Working on returnable packaging solutions to help with sustainability.


    • Documenting packaging required from all suppliers in EPSA.


    • Creating work standards


    • Focusing on all NPI packaging activities


    • Provide NPI support (returnable containers CPPD)


    • Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components


    • Design for transport efficiency


    • Perform containerization analysis and quoting


    • Validate new packaging and containers during pilot phase


    • Coordinate with assembly planning for line-side storage and ergonomic considerations


    • Develop kitting packaging / presentation


    • Validate returnable quantities through simulations


    • Resolve safety and / or quality issues caused by current packaging


    • Resolve issues reported by 3PL or carriers

    Interaction with team:


    • Working with both NA packaging team as well as both India and China teams


    • Working with supply chain – logistics- procurement – Manufacturing – transportation and POU to ensure total alignment with any packaging solutions.

    Work environment:


    • Office – shop floor – may visit other facilities
