    CACI is seeking a cleared Lab Manager to s upport SATCOM R&D Project Teams at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.


    What You'll Get to Do:
    Conduct day-to-day operations of multiple mid-sized "Additive Manufacturing" printers. Typically, filament printers, but expanding into hybrid-electronics, which may include novel machines.

    Lab cleanliness and presentability.

    Requirements gathering, assessment, purchase and or Modification of lab furniture to meet needs.

    Maintaining/generating/creating lab SOP's and guidelines

    Maintaining access and notify engineering staff of machine readiness.


    Tracking user access to networks and 3D printers– there will be a limited number of direct users, under 10 named users, with occasional guest-users.

    Ensuring users complete lab training as needed.


    Briefing and educating new people when they arrive to enforce access compliance and expectations on physical safety and cyber-security network usage.


    This is important because the Additive Manufacturing lab will have a DREN network and a protected off-line network for the 3D printers and design studio.

    Tracking physical security inspections


    Working with Admins to ensure that visitors such as company maintenance technicians have the requisite paperwork to come into labs (VARS, CAC, ETC) within 90 days, understand (basic capabilities of:) Creo 3D design software.

    Understand to access (ePDM or Windchill),

    Understand, and obtain access to the US Army Advanced Manufacturing Digital Repository (AdvM-DR).


    You'll Bring These Qualifications:
    An active DoD Secret clearance.


    Ability to solve problems, detail-minded, read basic manuals, be hands-on in the prototyping process, manage time, works independently with minimal (implied) guidance, interacts with various stakeholders at different career levels.


    Organized and methodical approach, able to read the manuals, and develop and access plan, work process, and cordial educational atmosphere to encourage participation of others to bring pre-prototyping challenges to the SSED laboratory.


    This is an in-house version of an experimentation lab, and a demonstration of BDAR innovations and an exploration zone for hybrid electronics printing.

    (BDAR= Battle Damage and Repair).

    Willingness to coordinate with stakeholders.


    More About the Role:


    The Lead Laboratory Tech keeps the Additive Manufacturing Lab operational and seeks to promote an atmosphere to keep the 3D printing equipment effectively producing pre-prototypes, Battle Damage Repair designs, and is present to explore the 3D printing needs of local SSED staff.

    Keeping track of access rosters for doors, physical access, overall logistics, shipping and receiving.

    Assigning access to people who need access to doors and rooms.


    Other duties as assigned; You may be assisting with other projects related to Supply Chain Risk, Electronic Parts Obsolescence (DMSMS), Standardization Documentation, Contract Language, and Defense Industrial Base initiatives.


    Working with facilities to ensure that the rooms are kept up (lights, power, etc), maintain visibility for long term laboratory growth needed in real property, ensuring that power requirements are met through room modification requests.

    Working with the lobby for package pickup and return as needed.

    Conduct package shipping and receiving on occasion when needed.

    Disposing of waste as needed.

    Upon printing of 3D/ Hybrid electronics, the residue of this may require paperwork.

    Completing safety checklists.

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

    IAT Level 1 requirements:
    one of A+ CE.

    CCNA-Security,

    CND,

    Network+ CE ,

    SSCP.
