What you'll do

We are looking for a Software Engineer who's eager to pioneer the next wave of crypto adoption by developing innovative features for MetaMask's identity management solutions.

In this role, you'll immerse yourself in the world of verifiable credentials, on-chain reputation, and digital identity.

You'll be adding cutting-edge new features to the world's largest crypto wallet, and your work will be used and appreciated by millions of users.

You'll be responsible for developing new features and services, driving new identity-related initiatives, and collaborating with partners in the Digital Identity & Verifiable Credentials space.

Your goal is to bring MetaMask users the best in class digital identity and reputation experience possible.

Ideal candidate

You're well-acquainted with the Ethereum ecosystem and adept at building products across mobile, web, and backend platforms. With a keen sense of user experience, you're dedicated to enhancing it at every turn.

Would be great if you brought this to the role

3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer working on Production applicationsExperience with mobile development (React Native)

Experience with web development (React)Experience with back-end development (Node/Express/NestJS)Experience working on agile projects in an Agile environmentExperience working in CI/CD setupExperience working in a distributed, remote team environmentExcellent communication skillsWriting good technical documentationLocated in North or South America/able to work PT or ET business hoursBonus point for any of:

Understanding of the digital identity / verifiable credentials landscapeExperience with Ethereum Attestation Service / Veramo / VeraxExperience Ethereum Name Service / Unstoppable DomainsUnderstanding of the Ethereum ecosystemExperience with third-party integration (web views, APIs, OpenAPI specifications)

Interest in streamlining and automating recurring processesBlockchain / smart contract development:
Solidity / Ethereum, or libraryExperience using or working with decentralized applications or web3 protocolsBSc/MSc in Computer Science or related subject

The salary range for US-based candidates only will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience and skills.
