Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks 1 Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join 10 faculty and 4 advanced nurse practitioners in expanding the academic and clinical mission of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology.
The candidate must have completed pediatric GI subspecialty training.
We encourage exceptional individuals interested in growing a clinical program in pediatric DGBIs along with advancing our research, education, and advocacy missions to apply.
The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team consisting of 2 psychologists, a dietitian, and a pediatric pain specialist that together treat patients with DGBIs.
The candidate will work collaboratively with our UNC Center for Functional GI and Motility Disorders (UNC Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders UNC Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders).
Candidates will have demonstrated excellence in clinical care and teaching. Strong clinical and endoscopic skills are required.
Our hospital yearly serves more than 70,000 children from all 100 North Carolina counties for over 200,000 visits for diagnosis and treatment.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit has a 20-bed capacity, and the Newborn Critical Care Center has a 58-bed capacity with approximately 850 admissions yearly.

Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology. Candidate must have completed pediatric GI subspecialty training.

Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in clinical care and teaching. Strong clinical and endoscopic skills are required. The selected candidate will have a special interest in pediatric DGBIs.
