    REAL ESTATE CREDIT OVERVIEW

    KKR Real Estate Credit was formed in January 2015 to invest in real estate credit products and complement KKR Real Estate's private equity platforms. Within KKR Real Estate Credit, we seek opportunities where we have a sourcing, underwriting or execution advantage by leveraging KKR's brand, industry knowledge and relationships. KKR Real Estate Credit currently invests through six separately capitalized vehicles across our Direct Lending and Securities portfolios and consists of 50+ dedicated professionals based in New York, San Francisco, Houston and Dallas.

    KKR has developed a dedicated services platform, K-Star Asset Management (K-Star), to support asset management, loan origination, securities investing, risk management and client experience for its real estate credit franchise as it continues to scale. The team includes industry specialists to oversee special servicing, stabilized loan asset management, transitional loan asset management, and investment oversight across KKR's real estate credit portfolio.

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    K-Star's Finance and Accounting team oversees the firm's accounting and reporting matters to produce analytical insights that drive business decisions and long-term success. The team is responsible for designing efficient frameworks through internal and external data and reports to understand the market environment and business dynamics and implement best practices. The team also collaborates closely with K-Star's CMBS and Direct Lending teams to ensure compliance and accurate reporting of our revenue related to servicing fees. The Finance and Accounting team also works closely with the KKR accounting team to report in a timely manner and to respond to ad-hoc requests. The individual must be an exceptional communicator with a goal towards action, a creative problem solver, and have the ability to build strong partnerships across the various KKR lines of business.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Operational Excellence
    • Track and reconcile cash activity
    • Record journal entries in SAP in a timely manner to assist with month and quarter-end close
    • Produce monthly and quarterly information pack and provide it to the relevant stakeholders
    • Collaborate with CMBS and Direct Lending teams to support the collection of servicing fee revenue
    • Utilize the SAP accounting software to track fee revenue and cash deposits by transaction or loan
    • Link SAP accounting software and Special Servicing system (RealInsight) for fee revenue tracking
    • Track other expenses for detailed reporting
    • Perform various ad hoc reports and budgets
    Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as point of contact for clients, vendors, finance teams and all other stakeholders for queries related to accounting and finance functions
    • Maintain working relationship with deal teams, sending relevant and timely communication
    • Coordinate with KKR accounting as needed
    Reporting & Governance
    • Conduct a monthly variance analysis and produce reports
    • Create a monthly general ledger report with reconciliation
    • Assist in completion of the quarterly financial overview
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's Degree preferably in a Finance, Accounting or Business-related course of study, or equivalent experience
    • CPA preferred
    • 2-4 years of experience in similar role, in a multinational financial services organization with exposure to real estate preferred.
    • Understanding of business processes for accounting and finance function
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness is required to ensure accuracy in all data and work product
    • Ability to record journal entries, perform cash reconciliations, and extract reports from SAP and other reporting tools
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Knowledge S4Hana preferred
