    Job title: Associate Operations Engineer II

    Department / Division: Manufacturing - Industrial & Systems Engineering

    Salary Range: $73,508 - $95,128

    Location: Ada, MI

    What do we need:

    We need an industrial engineer to help us eliminate time, money, materials, and other non-value-added activities and costs. The incumbent would be responsible for process improvement and support ongoing operational initiatives.

This team works heavily with cross-functional partners such as innovation and sciences, quality, maintenance, planning, finance, and manufacturing to support internal consulting.

    You will join a team of software developers and industrial engineers responsible for designing and implementing a process-led manufacturing technology solution. This group partners with similar teams at our manufacturing operations in India and China.

We are looking to develop lean engineering and data-based decision-making through partnerships within the Enterprise.

    In this role, you will help develop manufacturing estimates, identify bottlenecks, manage metrics, and consult internally to improve manufacturing effectiveness. The successful candidate will lead projects with outside vendors, stakeholders, and project partners, utilizing your manufacturing knowledge to attain successful outcomes.

    Required qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 years experience in a manufacturing setting
    • Strong process engineering skills based on sound engineering and scientific principles
    • Must have Lean, Kaizen, DOE, Six Sigma, 5S, TPM, or related experience
    • Must have excellent communication skills with all levels of professionals
    • BS degree in Industrial Engineering, operations research, management science, or a related field desired

    Skills to be successful in the role:

    • The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, preferably in food & beverage / cGMP industries
    • Knowledge of ERP, MES, OSI PI, Industry 4.0, and simulation
    • Experience in big data, Machine Learning, Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft BI, and SQL would be helpful
    • Experience managing budgets, building timelines, and providing cost estimates is desirable
