    Job TitleReliability, Availability, & Maintainability (RAM) Excellence LeaderJob DescriptionJob Posting DescriptionThe Director of Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) will play a pivotal role in leading efforts to design, analyze, and optimize systems and processes to meet stringent reliability standards, providing expertise that supports the overall quality and performance of Philips' Medical Devices, contributing directly to ensuring Patient Safety and Quality

    Your role:

    Reliability Engineering:

    Overall strategic/technical leadership focused on the development and implementation of reliability engineering methodologies to assess and enhance the reliability of medical devices.

    Conduct reliability predictions, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and fault tree analysis to identify potential failure modes and their impact on system performance.


    Availability Engineering:
    Design and implement strategies to maximize the availability of critical medical systems, ensuring uninterrupted operation in clinical settings.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish realistic availability targets and develop plans to achieve and sustain those targets.


    Maintainability Engineering:


    Evaluate and optimize the ease of maintenance for medical devices, reducing downtime and minimizing the impact of maintenance activities on clinical operations.

    Lead efforts to develop maintenance procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


    Testing and Analysis:
    Plan and oversee reliability testing, including accelerated life testing, environmental testing, and other relevant assessments.
    Analyze test results and field data to identify opportunities for improvement in product design, manufacturing processes, and maintenance procedures.

    Reporting to the Systems Engineering Excellence Leader, you will collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing teams to integrate RAM considerations into the product development lifecycle.

    Provide guidance and training to team members on RAM principles and best practices.
    This Hybrid role may require travel up to 30%.


    You're the right fit if:
    You have a minimum of 10 years' experience in product reliability/RAM engineering, within FDA regulated medical device (ISO or other highly regulated industries and a minimum of 3+ years in strategic/functional leadership.

    You have proven expertise/detailed knowledge of reliability engineering tools and methodologies, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Highly Accelerated Limit Testing (HALT), Accelerated Life Testing (ALT), Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA/FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Failure (MTTF), Environmental Testing and Design for Reliability (DfR)You're experienced in Data Analysis, utilizing the ReliaSoft Suite of tools or similar tools.

    You have strong analytical/problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

    Philips Transparency Details:
    The pay range for this position is $166,000 to $285,000, annually.

    The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
