    Summary About the Position:
    This Program Manager (Systems Acquisition Manager Acquisition) position is assigned to PEO Soldier, Survivability. The NH-03 pay band encompasses grades 12 and 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system. Responsibilities Develops plans and objectives for assigned systems acquisition projects.

    Ensures that the final acquisition strategy incorporates all product life cycle requirements including design and prototype development, test, logistics support, and follow-on evaluation/product improvement.

    Based on extensive organizational and acquisition knowledge of the programs/projects and systems acquisition process under the direction of the PM, the incumbent analyzes assigned portions of the program guidance received from higher headquarters.

    Tasks, directs, and coordinates with other internal and external organizations and offices engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives to assure that actions are in keeping with the PMs management direction.

    Serves as a systems acquisition manager and advises higher level management on all matters relating to one or more specifically assigned systems.

    Provides direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities under the authority of the PM.

    One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Interfacing with leadership and technical teams to develop and defend plans for assigned programs; 2) Coordinating acquisition support activities necessary to meet program objectives; and 3) Assisting with the development of programmatic documentation such as Acquisition Plans and Acquisition Strategies.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
