- The Test Specialist is responsible for the hardware modification process, ensuring correct instrumentation methodology is followed by Technicians and suppliers.
- Assisting in the development and documentation of Hardware Modifications Processes.
- Operation of all instrumentation and data systems required to conduct gas turbine engineering development tests. This requires the knowledge and applicable experience with instrumentation used in the measurement of temperature, pressure, dynamic pressure, strain, and other related parameters associated with gas turbine development tests.
- Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services typically does not require Engineering degree
- Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, test rigs, instrumentation systems and the development of test software
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
- Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology
- 2 Year working Gas Turbine applying NPI Instrumentation; setup and operation of Dynamic Data System
- Ability to travel to world wide customer test sites (up to 30% travel)
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Project leadership skills specifically around Hardware schedules and ability to work in team environment
- 4 Years Military Experience in Aircraft Maintenance
- Diverse product knowledge of GE gas turbines

The Test Specialist is responsible for providing test capabilities, that include the application of instrumentation and the acquisition of engineering test data to support the Gas Turbine New Products Introduction Department, the Gas Turbine Engineering Department, and the other departments of in the development of new gas turbine products and resolution of Power System's customer technical complaints.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, geographic location, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% annual performance bonus.
