- Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
- Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
- Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
- Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
- Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as surgical assistant, specialty is preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks

Job DescriptionOur office, Chin Oral Surgery, are looking for an experienced, energetic, detail oriented surgical assistant to join the team in our busy oral maxillofacial practice. Travel between the Chicago office and Hoffman Estates office is required. Candidate must be dependable, have a positive attitude, professional appearance and a reassuring, calm demeanor. Your Responsibilities
You will ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist's shoulders. You will be focused on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered. You will help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to resource during their visit which includes the following:
