CTR Group is seeking experienced Senior Marine Designers - Engineering Technicians in Portsmouth, Virginia area for Shipyard projects

For CVN 68 or LHD Class General Arrangements – Code 254, this candidate shall provide full time engineering support to provide design services for General Arrangements/ Structure which includes hull outfitting, habitability and stowage.

This code is responsible for all berthing, sanitary and other living spaces, all galleys, mess decks and other food service spaces, all workshops, offices, storerooms and magazines.

Provide design and engineering support of systems supported by NNSY Code 254 listed above.
Develop from cradle to grave engineering drawings using AUTOCAD.

Drawing must be technically complete and accurate and should be ready for issue with a minimum of Government review.

All drawings shall conform and/or incorporate the IDEA Manual, ISID (Intelligent Ship Installation Drawing), GSO (General Specifications for Overhaul), NSTM (Naval Ship Technical Manuals), SCD (Ship Change Document), weight and moment calculations, space arrangements, shock requirements, damage control, safety and environmental considerations, all technical interfaces including system or component testing requirements.
