We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated infusion nurse, in Hillsborough, NJ. Infusion nurse shifts are Monday to Friday during the day, no weekends or major holidays. This is a unique and rewarding position, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.Position Overview:
The Infusion nurse specializes in administering IV therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administers all medications according to the order, prescribing information and protocol. Facilitates drug administration by assessing patients, pertinent labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, problems and symptom management. Obtains Peripheral IV access/de-access per protocol. Recognizes changes in patient condition and intervenes appropriately. Maintains patient confidentiality. Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided. Utilizes knowledge and resources regarding reimbursement procedures. Maintains neat and orderly infusion suite. Restocks medical and office supplies as needed. Follows OSHA guidelines when handling biohazardous waste and any other material potentially infected with a blood bone pathogen. Maintains all disinfection protocols. Maintains equipment according to quality control standards. Facilitates and schedules patient's appointments. Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart. As necessary, facilitates communication between patient/family and provider.
The Infusion Nurse plays an integral part in ensuring that the highest possible level of patient care is offered to our patients.
