    Position Overview:

    The Construction Manager plays a pivotal role within CLRE Development, reporting directly to the Vice President of Construction and Development. Tasked with overseeing the construction process from inception to completion, this role involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality real estate development projects. The Construction Manager serves as the owner's representative throughout the construction phase, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate within a dynamic team environment to strategize and execute real estate development projects, ensuring financial success and exceptional quality.
    • Lead preliminary estimating, budgeting, and construction phases for assigned developments.
    • Foster seamless coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and utility providers throughout the construction lifecycle.
    • Negotiate construction contracts, establish budgets, and proactively manage costs to prevent overruns.
    • Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring alignment with financing timelines and project milestones.
    • Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Actively participate in construction progress meetings, reviewing requisitions and resolving disputes promptly to prevent delays.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with lenders, investors, government agencies, and utility companies.
    • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financing applications to support project funding.
    • Uphold the company's positive image through professional conduct and fair business practices.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of proven experience in construction management.
    • Demonstrated on-site construction management expertise, including logistics and safety practices.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently as the owner's representative.
    • Preferred experience in commercial construction, encompassing mixed-use, hospitality, F&B, and retail projects.
    • Familiarity with sitework, including grading, utilities, and paving, is advantageous.
    • Understanding of compliance-related historic tax credit rehabilitation is desirable.
    • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
    • Excellent relationship management and negotiation capabilities.
    • Proven ability to make informed decisions under varying levels of information.
    • Exceptional organizational, communication, and writing skills.
    • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Upholds strong ethical standards and operates effectively within a team environment.

    Work Schedule/Location:

    • Flexible schedule based on project requirements.
    • Office presence required three days per week in LaSalle, with remote work options available.
    • Site visits to local projects weekly during the construction phase, bi-weekly for out-of-town projects.
