A Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is a clinical laboratory scientist who performs clinical laboratory procedures and examinations pursuant to established and approved protocols of the Department of Health.

Laboratory personnel, supervisors, managers Hospital employees, physicians, pathologists Vendors and regulatory or accrediting agencies

Regularly both stationary and required to move about from work station to station Frequently required to perform duties associated with the use of a computer and laboratory instruments Ability to grasp small objects and perform tasks associated with eye-hand coordination Ability to distinguish details of objects less than a few feet away and determine and detect difference between size, color, numbers, shades, and brightness, as well as differentiate sounds.
