Assistant Project Manager – Government Construction
Assistant Project Manager to facilitate the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope.

Required Skills & Experience:

4-year college degree
2

years of assistant project management of federal government construction projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
Solid organizational skills including time management and prioritization
Ability to accurately assess and mitigate risk
Working knowledge of construction

principles/processes

Ability to travel to different job sites within the DC area

Understanding/proficiency

with Microsoft Office

Ability to read and understand project specifications and engineering drawings
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of construction safety and current federal and OSHA requirements
Current USACE and/or NAVFAC CQM Certification preferred

Responsibilities:

Assist Project Managers in setting and managing client and design team expectations
Assist Project Managers in managing the budget and billing throughout the construction process
Assist Project Managers in negotiating contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders
Assist Project Managers in ensuring that all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project
