Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Purchasing Lead to build and lead our centralized commercial purchasing department based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for procurement strategy across all commercial and multi-family projects nationwide.Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, pricing, and procurement of: Hollow metal doors and framesSteel, fiberglass, and wood doors and frames
Source materials for commercial and multi-family construction projects nationwide Ensure compliance with: ADA requirements Fire ratings and other applicable certifications Serve as the subject-matter expert for metal doors, frames, hardware Centralize purchasing operations in DFW for all national projects Develop and implement SOPs Purchasing templates Job site standards Procurement workflows best practices Train Project Managers by Teaching job site inspection standards Identifying common installation material issues Ensuring materials arrive correct complete code-compliant Build maintain strong vendor relationships Negotiate pricing lead times terms with manufacturers distributors Collaborate closely with operations project management leadership teams Required Experience & Qualifications Extensive experience in commercial doors frames hardware Hands-on experience door installation required Strong working knowledge of ADA compliance Fire-rated assemblies Commercial multiple-family construction standards Door hardware experience required Familiarity major vendors manufacturers including Allegion Assa Abloy Mesker Proven experience Pricing analysis Vendor negotiation Procurement large-scale construction projects Ability create processes drive adoption company-wide Strong leadership communication training skills Why This Opportunity Is Exciting You will build lead companys first centralized commercial purchasing department You will create companys wide standard doors frames hardware job execution Role has national impact current future projects Work closely with leadership have real influence on operations profitability Ideal someone who wants move beyond just purchasing strategic leadership Compensation Benefits Competitive salary Health dental vision insurance 401(k) plan Leadership role long-term growth potential
