    Our market-leading SAR satellites are complemented by an unmatched data infrastructure and automated ordering and delivery platform for fast, reliable insights where and when customers need it most.

    Capella Space is an internationally trusted Earth Observation data provider, working closely with the U.Space Force, NASA, U.S. Air Force, U.Navy, U.National Reconnaissance Office, the Canadian Government and more to make unclassified, high-resolution SAR data more accessible.

    Design and develop distributed systems to support satellite operations.
    Implement software solutions to enable efficient data processing and transmission.
    Optimize system performance and reliability.
    Ensure software meets quality and security standards.
    Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on distributed systems.
    Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Java or C++
    Experience with cloud-based distributed systems and microservices (e.g., Strong understanding of networking protocols and distributed computing concepts.
    Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies

    SQL
    Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., gitlab and CI/CD pipeline

    The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
