Job Summary and Qualifications
The Trauma Manager provides leadership and management for the trauma service to assure cost-effective optimal care is delivered to patients that are injured by maintaining and monitoring all performance improvement standards and quality care metrics. The Trauma Manager will assist the Trauma Director and Trauma Medical Director to assure that all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met as written and determined by all governing bodies and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS-COT).
What you will do in this role:
What qualifications you will need:
Follows and maintains current evidence based and research driven nursing practices and quality measures including but not limited to:
? VAP prevention and implementation of VAP bundle
? Skin & Wound Care including prevention of pressure wounds
? Meeting & Exceeding Core Measures as determined by National Standards ? Proactive care to reduce Catheter Acquired UTIs
? Protecting patient safety and being cognizant of Fall Risk and interventions to prevent falls
? Utilizing restraints safely as per hospital policy
Display competence in the following:
? Interpreting EKG rhythms
? Vasoactive and Cardiac IV medications ? Ventilator management
? MediTech documentation including visual flow sheet
? Arterial and Venous blood draws
? Obtaining 12-lead EKGs
