- Rounding on Adult and Pediatric patients (great mix for individual who wants inpatient work and ability to care for patients of all ages
- Flexible scheduling of shifts, 8P-8A, 12-hour shifts
- Inpatient clinical responsibilities including admissions, discharges, consults, and transfers
- ICU management including rounding, running codes, vent management, and intubations
- Attend caesarian sections and round in the newborn nursery (NRP certification is required)
- Work independently; on-call specialists available by phone
- Nocturnist can expect to have 4-5 patient encounters per night with an average of 3-4 Emergency Department admissions
- Wide scope of services provided at hospital including General Surgery, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care and Urology
- Ability to live in close proximity to Raleigh or Wilmington, North Carolina

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a board certified/board eligible Family Medicine or Internal Med-Peds Hospitalist Nocturnist to join its hospitalist service to work approximately 10-12 shifts a month. We seek a skilled and experienced physician who maintains a strong focus and commitment to providing outstanding and compassionate care to all patients.
