Job summary
The Department of Pathology is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform clinical laboratory analyses on biological specimens for providing information for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of diseases.This position involves performing Immunology procedures such as Immunohistochemistry, frozen section cutting and staining by direct Immunofluorescence, and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), as well as histologic procedures like embedding, microtomy, staining and coverslipping.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for calibrating laboratory instrumentation,
- Performs clinical electron microscopy
- and histological analysis on biological specimens such as blood tissue body fluids.
