- Join a dynamic and collaborative orthopedic team in a growing specialty line as an Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
- Highly motivated and skilled APP to support our dedicated orthopedic surgeons in providing exceptional, patient-centered care.
- Work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons and APPs serving a wide range of orthopedic specialties including sports medicine, foot and ankle, adult reconstructive, and total joint procedures.
- Patient-focused team providing high-quality care in a dynamic inpatient setting, with flexibility to float to the outpatient clinic when needed.
Responsibilities
- Full-Time, Day Shift
- Primarily in patient-focused with flexibility to assist in outpatient clinic when needed
- Call: 1:4, shared with physician
- OR surgical first assist, inpatient rounding, post-operative management, and discharge planning
- Conduct independent assessments and manage pre-/post-operative care
- Interpret imaging and lab results; develop and coordinate follow-up treatment plans
- Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on orthopedic conditions, surgical recovery, and expectations
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Board Certified
- 1–2 years of experience preferred in an inpatient or surgical specialty
- Licensed (or eligible) in the state of Iowa
- DEA and prescribing authority in Iowa
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
