Reports To:
Chief Financial Officer of Mountainside Fitness
Location:
Downtown (Old Town) Scottsdale, Arizona - Covered parking provided
Work Schedule:
Standard office hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Actual work hours are set by position and overseen by the CFO.
Most work is accomplished during the standard workweek, but there may be times when hours and days are changed due to the needs of the business.
Overview:
Reporting directly to the CFO of Mountainside Fitness, this full-time, in-office, salaried position is pivotal in integrating the subsidiary's accounting function with the parent company, Mountainside Fitness.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Implement an accounting conversion to integrate the subsidiary into Mountainside's existing system, streamlining financial processes, and enhancing accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating closely with department heads to develop accurate financial projections.
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Assist in coordinating external audits, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Evaluate and implement accounting software, systems, and procedures, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other business units to support business initiatives and drive operational excellence.
Skills:
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and analysis roles, with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Experience with multiple entities and consolidation process
Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
Leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with the following software helpful but not required: Blue Folder, Sage Intacct, and Sage Fixed Assets.
