Job summary
This position functions in a support capacity for a variety of higher-level pharmacy technician duties that may require multiple pharmacy technicians. Duties will include maintenance of automated technology systems and ordering and procurement of medications.Responsibilities
- Provides support in the implementation installation maintenance and updating of technology systems related to pharmacy monitoring compounding repackaging and distribution.
- Performs summarizes and reports controlled substance audits notifies the Pharmacist in Charge or designee of concerns regarding compliance.
- Cordinates with the pharmacist completes patient medication histories records them in electronic health record as required places medications patients boxes or designated area for pharmacist check sends/delivers medications nursing units required investigates missing medication requests charges/credits patients medications intravenous solutions appropriate restocks unused credited returned medications prepares daily bank deposit financial reports maintain databases troubleshoot automated malfunctions communicates appropriately effectively internal external customers answers phones fields questions facility staff triages prioritizes questions pharmacist appropriately under supervision compounds prepares doses non-sterile sterile medications accordance policy best practices.
