    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

    Responsible for performing all complex accounting functions for the parent company and its affiliates including general ledger posting and financial statement preparation.

    Also requires participation in annual audits, tax return review and compliance reporting.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    Accounting or Finance degree requiredExperience:Minimum seven to ten years of accounting and financial statement preparation experience is required. This includes all functions of full charge bookkeeping. Real Estate or Construction accounting experience a plus.
    Proficiency in RealPage or similar accounting software and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    Work closely with the property accounting team in managing intercompany payables and receivables.
    Initiate funding and cash transactions, reconcile bank accounts monthly and maintain associated schedules.
    Perform complex multiple-entity general ledger postings, reconciliations to supporting schedules and preparation of financials for supervisory review.

    Responsible for all required corporate and commercial month end journal entries and participate in the month end corporate and consolidated financial statement closing process.

    Maintain supporting schedules for utilization in the correct reporting of monthly financials and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

    Work within job cost to ensure accurate information data collection for development/construction activities and for reconciliation of costs for real estate transactions.

    Various accounting projects or analyses as needed by the Corporate Accounting Manager or Controller.#J-18808-Ljbffr
