    Role Description

    Mancilla & Fantone, LLP is looking for a litigation associate for a 6-month temp position (with the possibility of becoming a full-time associate) for $70,000-$90,000 based on experience. The role is flexible with remote work. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks of drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, writing, preparing and answering discovery, invoicing and billing, and assisting with trial preparation.

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Admitted to practice law in the State of New York
    • 1-2 years of experience in civil and criminal litigation
    • proficient in working with Artificial Intelligence (specifically LLMs), Google Docs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and has a general continuing curiosity.
    • Experience in conducting legal research and preparing legal briefs
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of procedures in civil and criminal cases, including the CPL and CPLR
    • Proficiency in drafting pleadings and motions
    • Experience in federal criminal cases is a plus
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Compensation

    • 6-month temporary to full-time hire
    • $70,000-$90,000/yr compensation
