    Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule.

    Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Schedule activities for all crafts and specialty support services used during a shutdown event
    • Establish a planning & scheduling framework for managing schedules at the Mobile site and Regionally
    • Collaboration with clients to establish scheduling convention and key process steps relating plant operations to shutdown activities
    • Provide plants with budgetary cost estimates based on planned activities and rates
    • Develop, maintain, and deliver resource loaded schedules with key milestones
    • Establish Evonik guidelines for schedule development: Working hours/day, key milestone requirements, data date management, and live progress tracking
    • Produce histograms and earned value analysis using CPM principles
    • Maintain KPI's related to overall shutdown event success. KPI's will be used to directly improve aspects of the site shutdown processes
    • Collaborate with field leadership to validate progress and path forward planning including recovery actions when necessary
    • Act as an adviser for managing SAP information between the planners, plant engineers, schedulers, and material coordinators.
    • Foresight to identify potential issues related to the structure of data within SAP
    • Compliance with Evonik technical standards.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Possess expert level Primavera P6 schedule building and management know how OR demonstrated know how/experience with shutdown scheduling
    • Possess a basic understanding of Mechanical Integrity, Risk Based Maintenance, and other relevant strategies.
    • An associate degree in construction or construction science is a plus for this position. An associate degree in a relevant engineering discipline is also an advantage.
    • Journeyman certification in one or more of the following building trades is beneficial: ironworker, electrician, pipefitter, or welding.
    • Minimum of Five years of experience managing P6 systems in refineries, chemical manufacturers, power plants or paper mills.
    • Knowledge of standard industrial/commercial construction practices and techniques is essential for this role; experience with all phases of construction from groundbreaking to completion is preferred.
    • This ability to communicate effectively and to build productive working relationships with production plants and technical services is vital for success in this role.
    • Understand basic technical plant documentation.
