NYC Health + Hospitals-Lincoln, situated in the South Bronx, is a teaching hospital affiliated with Weill-Cornell Medical College. The facility is devoted to delivering high-quality patient care to a diverse community and is recognized as a Level I Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, verified by the State of New York. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of residents and mid-level providers for inpatient and ambulatory thoracic clinical practices
- Promptly respond to all thoracic surgery consultations following established policies
- Participate in solid tumor conferences biweekly
- Establish and oversee a chest multidisciplinary conference as a working and educational forum including a lung cancer screening program
- Actively contribute to increasing the volume of thoracic surgery cases
Qualifications
- Board certification in Thoracic Surgery or eligibility for certification
- Possession of a New York State Medical License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified in Surgery
- Proficiency in VATS and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery
- Experience with esophageal/foregut cases, including robotic-assisted procedures
