    The Nurse Manager is also responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities for the provision of quality patient care within the framework of the mission, vision and values of Baptist Health.

    This person demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational skills and interpersonal skills.

    In accordance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures, this person demonstrates the consistent ability to act as a role model by providing direction in the application of the nursing process, quality and performance improvement standards and organizational and departmental goals and objectives.

    This person is also responsible for the allocation and management of human resources in assigned areas.

    As a member of the Nursing Service Leadership Team, the Nurse Manager will assist in the development of long and short term goals, objectives, policy development, and priority setting for the Nursing Department.

    Qualifications
    Valid AL RN license required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

    ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred, per specialty area; minimum 2 years staff nurse experience with progressive experience in nursing and nursing management required.

    Evidence of commitment to continuing education. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Employee development and performance management skills.
    Current Alabama Nursing license required; CPR or BLS required
