    Job DescriptionJob Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
    Location:Stockton CA 95209
    Duration: 13 weeks contract
    Shift: 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM
    Guarantee Hours: 35 per week **Job Summary:**
    The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses, regain movement and manage pain. PTAs assist in implementing treatment plans, perform therapeutic exercises, and educate patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation. They work in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, clinics, and private practices.**Responsibilities:**
    1. **Assist in Treatment Plans:** Collaborate with the supervising PT to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
    2. **Perform Therapeutic Exercises:** Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
    3. **Provide Modalities:** Apply modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction as directed by the PT.
    4. **Monitor Patients:** Monitor patients' progress during therapy sessions, report observations to the PT, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
    5. **Assist with Mobility:** Assist patients in performing exercises and activities that promote mobility, including transfers and gait training.
    .**Qualifications:**
    1. **Education:** Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
    2. **Licensure:** Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
    3. **Experience:** Some positions may require previous experience in a healthcare setting, though entry-level positions are available.
    4. **Interpersonal Skills:** Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    5. **Physical Stamina:** Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

    Physical Therapist Assistants typically work in healthcare settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, outpatient clinics, and nursing homes. They may spend long periods standing and may need to lift or move patients with mobility limitations. The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve working with patients of all ages and varying degrees of physical ability.
