Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County

The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) was established in 1974 to better respond to the County's need for affordable housing. HOC is authorized to acquire, own, lease, and operate housing; to provide for the construction or renovation of housing; obtain financial assistance from any public or private source to assist its housing activities; and arrange for social services, resident services and daycare.

Job Description:

This position will act as a liaison between the Budget Office and assigned HOC Divisions/Departments for developing and coordinating the formulation and monitoring of various agency budgets, for controlling funds across entities to implement performance objectives of the programs, and analyzing past and present financial operations to project future revenues and expenditures. Will assist with research and formulation of responses to inquiries concerning budget comparisons and analyses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, and prepare adhoc analyses as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of budgeting or financial analysis experience.
Property Budget experience is desirable.

Education:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration/Management, or a related field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Must possess excellent written & oral communication skills.
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, & PowerPoint (must be able to manipulate data).
Excellent analytical skills and interpersonal skills & the ability to deal with people tactfully & effectively.
Experience with automated accounting systems is necessary.

* Salary Range: Grade 24- Min: $66,036/ Mid: $87,824/ Max: $109,612| Salary determined by departmental budget- Offer commensurate with experience
