    Job Description:
    The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is looking for a Laundry Worker 1 to join the team at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute (CMHI). This role involves handling laundry and housekeeping tasks in a commercial setting, such as operating washers and dryers, folding, and delivering laundry, as well as general cleaning duties. The ideal candidate is hardworking, punctual, and detail-oriented. Housekeeping or laundry experience is a bonus, but training is provided for the right candidate. This full-time position offers a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

    CMHI provides active psychiatric care to adults, offering various services and personalized treatment plans. The facility supports patients with educational needs and promotes collaboration in treatment planning.
