    This role is onsite in Irving, TX.

    The Senior IT Project Manager will be leading a key project for our clients IT organization.

    They are looking for top talent; the individual must have excellent project management skills, technical acumen, and ability to interact/influence teams inside and outside of IT including third parties.


    Requirements:

    KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES
    Develops and maintains up-to-date project artifacts (project charter, schedule, RAID logs, etc.) following Project Management Institute's principles and guidelines.
    Ensures that the Project Management Institute's principles for project management are appropriately followed on assigned project(s).
    Tracks and manages project schedule for upstream and downstream dependencies.

    Ensures proper IT compliance due diligence is completed related to information security, IT general controls, SOX controls, change management, etc.

    Responsible for managing the relationship between IT and the business for the project.

    Coordinates with business and other IT groups as well as vendors within the assigned project to ensure proper project execution and adherence to the company's IT compliance requirements.

    Maintains strong customer focus while coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and IT resources by using effective verbal and written communication skills.

    Provides leadership to the IT project team, fosters a positive team environment, and provides direction in ambiguous situations.

    Utilizes negotiation skills to influence and creatively achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, budget, issues/risks, and resources for both internal and external stakeholders.

    Proactively exercises initiative in identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to project success. Approaches risk identification and mitigation, accordingly, including establishing contingency plans and initiating corrective action.
    Understands how individual project workstreams affect the program and exercises judgment in raising issues and risks to executives.
    Arbitrates and resolves conflicts within the program when necessary. Understands appropriate paths and methods for escalation.
    Reports project status to executives.

    "must Have" Specific Knowledge And Skills

    8+ years of experience in project management and quality management.

    Must have experience managing full lifecycle of software delivery efforts including requirements gathering, design, implementation, quality engineering (including automation), release/launch and ongoing post-prod enhancements.

    Has handled facilitating requirements gathering working sessions with business, product and IT/application teams spanning multiple vendors.
    Has experience holding vendors & internal teams accountable to meet/resolve dependencies and ensure timelines are adhered to.
    Comfortable facilitating requirements gathering and business process definition sessions and documenting output of these sessions. Experience completing IT compliance due diligence.
    Solid experience leading projects utilizing waterfall project management methodologies.
    Expertise with waterfall and agile project management methodologies.

    Ability to project manage initiatives that span across a mix of teams with a few operating in an agile model and a few operating with waterfall models.

    Must have strong practical experience in project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects.
    Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques.
    Ability to gain a good understanding of wider objectives of projects.
    Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
    Strong leadership and management skills.
    Excellent interpersonal skills
    Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in project management.
    Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
    The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and other relevant software.
    Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Smartsheet and other Project Management software/tools.
    Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, multi-tasking environment.
    Proven ability to interact with various levels of management and other associates.
    PMP preferred and a strong grasp of project management principles


    EDUCATION
    Bachelors Degree in a related field
    Relevant certifications e.g. PMP, etc. (preferred)
