Description
System One has partnered with an oilfield equipment supplier in the Tulsa, OK area that is searching for several Intermediate Material Handlers.
This position is a contract to hire role. Intermediate level position that performs a variety of duties in shipping, receiving and/or warehouse with moderate supervision.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Understanding of warehouse layout and how to locate materials
Receives incoming materials, supplies and equipment. Unloads trucks, compares received items to purchase order to verify accuracy and quantity of shipment. Inspects material for damage and defects and escalates issues to Lead. Uncrates and assembles materials if directed and removes and disposes of unneeded packing materials
Delivers materials to appropriate departments accurately and obtains proper authorization of delivered materials
Prepares crates and other items to be shipped
May drive truck/forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
Utilizes computerized inventory system
Maintains an adequate inventory of warehouse supplies
Assures correct materials are pulled from stock and staged with the location noted
Requires employee to constantly type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.
Requires operation of heavy equipment, such as forklift on a frequent frequencyRequires employee to occasionally climb stairs or ladders to pull materials from shelves. Must be able to maintain balance on stairs or ladders without assistance.
Must be able to communicate and respond to coworkers, customers, vendors, suppliers and emergency cues/alarms, in person and on the telephone, including use of mobile devices
Requires work in outdoor conditions, including unairconditioned facility
Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, steel-toed boots, as applicable.
