    We are currently looking for a licensed 06 Journeymen throughout Western Washington for our Bellingham team

    Washington Alarm, a Seattle based full service alarm company with our own central station, is seeking 06 technicians with a service background.

    $500 Sign on Bonus $1,000 Retention Bonus

    We are experiencing rapid growth in sales and service and need licensed technicians with the following skills:

    Candidate must possess the certifications and experience necessary to inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, program, and install a wide array of proprietary and non-proprietary electronic fire alarm and security systems. Candidate should have the ability to accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection and be able to communicate with employees, employers, customers, and authorities-having-jurisdiction both written and verbally.

    Qualifications:

    • Washington State EL-06 Journeyman License (required)
    • NICET 2 Fire Alarm Systems (preferred)
    • Prefer experience with Silent Knight, DMP, DSC Honeywell and 2GIG
    • Experienced in installing CCTV and Access Control
    • Ability to troubleshoot fire alarm and security system faults and trace and repair ground faults
    • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, utility vaults (confined spaces), above ceilings, etc.
    • Valid driver's license with excellent driving record
    • Must successfully pass a drug test, complete employment background check and driving history

    Starting Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Inspect and test electronic fire alarm and security systems at customer sites
    • Produce system inspection, testing, and correction reports
    • Service, troubleshoot, and install many different brands of electronic fire alarm and security equipment
    • Test all equipment after installation/repair to ensure each system will perform as designed
    • Periodically respond to 24/7 customer service calls (additional on call pay applies)

    Signing bonus for qualified applicants payable after 3 months on the job.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • No direct supervisory responsibilities.
    • Must be able to direct labor resources including Trainees, NICET Level I technicians, and subcontractors

    Education:

    • High school or equivalent (Required)

    License:

    • Washington EL-06 Journeyman (Required)
    • Washington State Driver's License (Required)
    • NICET 2 Fire Alarm systems (preferred)
